I recently received few emails from medical students involved in the above organisation. It is an organisation of Malaysian medical students both locally and overseas. It is interesting that they have come to realise the issues that need to be addressed for their future. Thus, they are actively organising various events in Malaysia which will be participated by Malaysian students from around the world. Some of them had contacted me to advertise their program in this blog. Their next upcoming event will be in Sg Buloh Hospital next month as attached below. The Event is called MMI MAID – Making an informed choice.
“A little introduction on MMI – it is an organisation that has been very actively organizing major events that involve many medical schools in Malaysia. We are a Malaysian-registered medical student organization representing Malaysian medical students both locally and overseas. Our committee comprises of both local (UM,UPM,PMC,MMMC,IMU,MONASH,AIMST etc) and overseas Malaysian medical students”
Please feel free to visit page in fb : https://www.facebook.com/mmimaid and website for this event : https://malaysianmedicsinternational.wordpress.com/about-2/what-we-do/ They also have another big event coming up in August 2015 known as Malaysian Medical Student Summit as seen over HERE.
Go on with yr excellent advises. In capitalist world, all will end in equal sum. Our gov can manipulate things, we can follow, our friends can do the same and so every one. By 2050, all our children are graduates, all working on bricks and mortals are foreigners, we are a Roman empire in making, and the falling one too.
Good program for the wannabes!
Dr Paga, what is your take on the issue of corporatisation of MMC in terms of education and licencing. Tq
The idea of corporatization is to give more power and autonomy. Unfortunately, the amended medical act still keeps the DG as the chairman which does not make any difference. As long as the chairman remains a civil servant, you will never be independent.
Thank you Dr. Pagalavan for posting this up in your blog, the MMSS 2015 Committee is grateful for it! For those who are interested in the Malaysian Medical Student Summit 2015 – more information can be found in our website and Facebook page!

Dear MMI,
Invite Dr Paga. It’ll worth every second.
in every situation, there is the official view & the unofficial view.
the official view is usually presented in a very diplomatic manner, language that is pleasant, full of optimism and with a lot of sugar coating.
the unofficial view is the naked truth, presented very bluntly & without any sugar coating.
dr paga’s view is the unofficial view… therefore he will never be invited to speak. even if he is invited, he will never be the main speaker…because the truth hurts
Hello Jimmy, sadly our speaker slots have already been filled up. However, we have invited Dr. Pagalavan to attend the Malaysian Medical Student Summit 2015 as a special guest. While it is true that Dr. pagalavan does not mince his words, but indeed sometimes such realism and frankness is neccesary isn’t it?
Perhaps in another event, we will invite Dr. Pagalavan as a speaker if he is graciously willing to do so. After all, our organization is for the transparent and accurate dissemination of knowledge and facts.
“special guess” means he is not the main event.
and he will never be the main event.
all of you who like to hear “sugar coated” speeches will get diabetes.
in fact one of the local medical college is already dead ( probably due to end stage renal failure )… the VC asked for hemodialysis but unfortunately the government couldnt help.
the others will follow very very soon.
Thank you sir!! and Thank you MMI!!
About time to weed out the underperformed Medical schools!
